In the 1990's she founded "Cloud 9" based on her clients saying, "I feel like I am on Cloud 9" after treatments. Buckminster Fuller coined the term for a floating city he envisioned. As a song, Cloud 9 was first popularized by the Temptations in 1968. i can't believe i'm actually here. the past month and a half have been kind of crazy, but good. we've been driving for two days and we finally got to my new apartment in san francisco. joy decided to drive down with me and we've been talking almost the entire time, despite the long hours of driving and the rest of it. i didn't take all my possessions this trip, just the important things and a lot of what i have is staying back in snohomish, like my bed and dresser and couch. i've really just got my clothes in a couple suitcases in the back, my two computers on the back seat, my toaster, blender, and mixer, as well as the rest of my kitchen stuff, is in the crannies around my suitcases in the back. my printer is on the floor in the back seat and my cat is in a carrier in the other back seat. i already ordered a twin mattress online, which should arrive the afternoon after we get there, and as for the rest of my furniture, well, i'll have to get that in the next couple weeks. my spinning wheel and small dresser will have to wait until another trip to join me, but that's alright. i won't have much use for either until i'm done and situated, anyway. but my apartment is this cute little thing so close to the beach i can practically smell it. and as we drive up to my parking space and park, i can feel the warm california sun hitting me and i know with a sense of warmth and extreme pride that i did, indeed, do the right thing at the right moment. i managed to get a fairly small place for a very decent price, especially considering the location in a pretty good part of town. course, without much in the way of furniture yet, i don't exactly need tons of space, anyway, especially since i plan on spending a lot of time writing on the beach anyway. we take my cat up first thing so he can stretch his legs out some, as well as the cat box that i put on top of his crate, and let him wander the empty space. he seems pretty much at home already, and i think he's nearly as glad as i am to be here. i open my windo

shanti! it's your card! guess my ending up in san francisco is a lot more synchronisitous than i was giving it credit for. :d but as for looking at the whole thing from a birds eye view, it seems that i need to start taking a lot more actions if this reality is going to come across... and asking for some help, methinks. :)

2008-12-11 MyavonDor		i'm going to challenge myself to look at moving as though it is actually going to happen instead of wishing and hoping that it will fall in my lap. time to act like this is my actual reality.
2008-12-11 MyavonDor		but on the other hand i can't ignore synchronicity either. if i do, i'll just be riding a sinking ship, moving for the wrong reasons. so the real trick is to learn when to get off the boat and onto the life raft. if i do it too soon i'll get stranded in the middle of the ocean as my ship keeps going on without me. but if i do it too late, then i go down with the ship. synchronicity is the only way i really have to know when to jump.

2008-12-11 MyavonDor		i am the scribe writing my life story, it is a blank page that is written by me and the divine, and i have to make sure to hold my pen tight and make sure that i don't give my power, my pen, over to those who would want to rewrite my blank slate into something else that they see as my possibility or future, but to also know and have the sense to know when to listen and follow the advice of others. if i can balance that then i'll be fine.

2008-12-11 MyavonDor		it takes all kinds of people to make a painting work. small thin brushes, big fat brushes, but if not all the brushes needed are there to paint it, then the picture doesn't look right. so add your brushstrokes to the painting of life and know that regardless of what happens, that the mark you put down needed to be there for the painting to be what it is.
