Description: The keynote of the butterfly is transmutation, transformation and the dance of joy. The butterfly has taken on the energy of transformation more than any other animal, and this is clearly due the the process of metamorphosis. When the butterfly appears in your game make sure to take note of what important issues are at hand and what stage of change you are at in regards to them. You may need to contemplate the outcome and how you wish to accomplish it. What stage of change are you at? Caterpillar? Chrysalis? Or butterfly? In Christianity, the butterfly is a symbol of the soul. In China they represent conjugal bliss and joy. To the Native Americans butterflies are symbols of change, joy and color. As butterflies fly to flowers and collect nectar, they appear to dance on the air, reminding us that life is a dance, and dance is powerful, yet also to be enjoyed. They have the ability to taste with the front of their legs as they walk upon flowers, also reminding us to taste the sweetness and joy of life. When butterfly enters your game, it may be time to ask, are you dancing and fully tasting the joys of life? You may also need to look for change; all change is good and transformation is inevitable. my intention is to keep an open portal of connection with my friends from now-far-away places ;)

ooh, beautiful card. i love that it's a dream weaver - perhaps one of the ways i will stay connected with old friend-flames is through my/our dream life/lives, that could be lovely. it's also a monarch, which is a big symbol of santa cruz as the butterflies nest there in the winter. and they travel - they visit and relax and carry on their journeys, much like my experience there. and yellow = joy, smiling, sun, connection and brightness/optimism. what needs to transform.... ah, that's a loaded question with lots of potential unfolding answers. perhaps the simple answer in terms of this particular intention is my willingess to put more effort out there into connecting - writing emails, even calling, something that for some reason i avoid like the plague, so looking into that... and recognizing that connection in thought and well-wishing is actually a real, valuable form of staying connected. [note to the ladies who get this: this is a game i've gotten involved with lately, and this is the online version...it's kind of like tarot meets conversation meets board game... it's an interesting and powerful game in person and i'm curious to experiment with the online version as a potential way to stay connected to you all - so how it works: you respond to my intention card/reflection by challenging/relating - you may have to sign in 1st, and poke around the site to get more of a sense of the game... let me know if you have questions! -b]

2009-09-20 banga		what a beautiful card. i love the task on it: what needs to transform for you to become...you probably already know this, but if you 'help' a butterfly out of its chrysalis, even when it's almost out, it will die. it cannot become a butterfly without the struggle. it's an amazing metaphor.
2009-09-20 banga		awareness. hmmm. all of my spiritual growth has been spurred by somatic awareness. brooking, what do you feel in your body when you reach out? many times our rhomboids are tight. they are muscles that facilitate literal reaching. the left rhomboid is also extra protection for the back of the heart. the rhomboids tend to get really tight from being on the computer for a long time. if you have foam roller, it's great to lie on length-wise, reach your hands to the sky like you are reaching for something tempting while keeping your spine resting on the roller. you can also open the rhomboids by stretching the pecs. i hope this reflection isn't too long!!

2010-11-27 mermia		this amazing transformation symbol holds all my dreams of changing the education system since i was 16 years old...the main reason that i became a teacher and had visions of every child feeling happy in the learning environment, fulfilled and able to access his/her own inner soul self while growing organically and feeling the connectedness of his/her self in the wheel of life. it's a way-dreamy image and it's what's needed for our world to truly transform. if each child can have this, we will have a new world. may our new/old connections with the present powers-that-be in our local school system feel the energy behind our impetus through the game and respond with love and positive yes to our invitation. may this be the beginning of a whole new model of collaboration and fun in public education. i know that kids just want to have fun, and it's our job to provide it for them so that they can truly find their innate, natural love of learning! omayn! and so it is!
